We are pleased to offer you this introduction to the Nucleus Freedom Cochlear Implant and Baha systems. This course is intended for those who are new to working with cochlear implants, and have little to no experience with the evaluation, surgical procedure, programming, and follow up for recipients.

• The candidacy and evaluation process for CI and Baha
• Counseling candidates for CI and Baha
• Medical and surgical issues
• Hands-on programming training with Custom Sound software
• Hands-on training with the Freedom speech processors
• Electrical stimulation and how the Freedom works
• What to do at the Initial Activation and beyond
